Collapse Aware AI Core Gold Build
Governed, retained-state behavioural selection middleware
The Collapse Aware AI Core Gold Build is now operational.
The Collapse Aware AI Core Gold Build is proprietary, tunable middleware for governed behavioural selection. It helps an application choose between its existing candidate actions, responses or behaviours using retained session state and explicit governor controls.
CAAI operates locally at the point of selection. Its retained-state influence can be enabled, disabled and compared, while selected outcomes, confidence, divergence and trace information remain inspectable under controlled conditions.
Because CAAI selects rather than generates, the selection layer itself does not consume model tokens for every decision. In suitable integrations, it can reduce repeated model calls, associated token costs and cloud dependence by resolving prepared or previously generated behaviours locally.
The result is a controlled layer that can make agents, NPCs and interactive systems more continuous and context-sensitive without replacing their existing models, engines or authored content.

What the Core Gold Build does
A host application supplies a situation and a set of possible behaviours.
The Core Gold Build then:
- receives the supplied candidate behaviours;
- applies relevant retained-state influence;
- evaluates the candidates under an explicit governor setting;
- selects the resulting behaviour;
- returns the selected output with supporting identifiers and diagnostics;
- preserves controlled runtime state for later recall;
- reports invalid input or upstream failure honestly rather than fabricating a successful decision.
The application remains responsible for creating the available actions or behaviours. CAAI provides the governed selection layer between those possibilities and the final action.
The capability demonstrated
The completed evidence shows that the same situation and the same supplied behaviours can produce a different controlled selection when the governor setting changes.
In the accepted demonstration:
- the prompt remains unchanged;
- the candidate behaviours remain unchanged;
- the seed and retained context remain unchanged;
- the retained-state contribution remains enabled;
- only the governor mode changes;
- a different supplied behaviour is selected;
- the change is returned with confidence, divergence and trace information.
This is governed behavioural selection—not open-ended generation.
Where it can fit
The Core Gold Build is designed for systems that already have possible actions or behaviours but need a more controlled way to choose between them.
Potential integration areas include:
AI agents
A governed decision layer between an agent and the actions available to it, allowing retained context to influence selection without making the process opaque.
Games and NPC systems
Selection between authored NPC behaviours based on relevant earlier player actions, session state or narrative context, while remaining reproducible for testing and QA.
Interactive and adaptive experiences
Selection of the next authored path, scene, response or intervention based on retained participant state.
Simulation and training
Controlled scenario behaviour where prior events should affect later selections and the resulting decision must remain inspectable.
Research and evaluation
Repeatable comparison of baseline, retained-state and governed behavioural outcomes.
These are integration targets, not claims that CAAI replaces an existing game engine, agent framework, model or simulation platform.
Why the distinction matters
Many AI memory products concentrate on storing and retrieving information.
CAAI addresses a different point in the process:
How should retained information affect which behaviour is selected now?
Many governance products concentrate on permitting, blocking or auditing actions after they have been proposed.
CAAI concentrates on governed selection among the available behaviours before the final result is returned.
It is not another memory database and it is not a replacement for the surrounding AI stack.
Local and controlled operation
The Core Gold Build can operate as a local middleware runtime. The selection layer does not itself require a paid cloud-model call for every decision.
This can be useful where a buyer values:
- predictable operating costs;
- local processing;
- controlled latency;
- reproducible testing;
- retained-state privacy;
- inspectable decisions;
- separation from the underlying model or application.
A surrounding product may still use cloud services if its owner chooses. CAAI does not require the complete host system to be cloud-free.
Current evidence
The completed Phase-1 evidence covers:
- full interface-to-runtime request and response routing;
- preservation of supplied candidate behaviours;
- retained-state influence on selection;
- governor-controlled behavioural change;
- controlled persistence and recall across restart;
- structured input validation;
- honest degraded and invalid-response handling;
- trace identifiers and decision diagnostics;
- reproducible local startup and operator instructions.
Detailed technical evidence is available privately for suitable evaluation and licensing discussions.
What the Core Gold Build is not
The current build is not presented as:
- a foundation model;
- a chatbot;
- a complete adaptive NPC brain;
- uncontrolled self-learning;
- consciousness or sentience;
- the completed Phase-2 system;
- full Weighted Emergence Layering.
The current product is narrower and more practical:
a working middleware foundation for governed, retained-state behavioural selection.
Proprietary technology
The behavioural runtime, scoring implementation and internal selection logic remain proprietary to Inappropriate Media Limited.
Public materials demonstrate the product boundary and evidenced behaviour. They do not release the private runtime, source implementation, scoring formulas or Crown internals.
Technical access is provided only through an appropriate evaluation, licensing or development agreement.
Phase 2 and beyond
The Core Gold Build provides the operational foundation for the next CAAI development phase.
The wider roadmap includes richer decision tracing, outcome recording, controlled evaluation, deeper continuity and carefully bounded adaptive behaviour.
Weighted Emergence Layering remains part of that future roadmap. It is not being represented as a completed Core Gold Build feature.
Phase-2 development will build on the existing middleware boundary rather than replace it.
Paid evaluations and licensing
Collapse Aware AI is opening a limited number of conversations with developers, studios, platforms and technical teams whose systems already select between possible behaviours.
Initial commercial routes may include:
- a paid architecture evaluation;
- a controlled technical fit assessment;
- a defined design-partner engagement;
- a limited commercial integration licence.
Source-code transfer and broad exclusivity are not part of the standard evaluation route.
If your system has existing candidate actions or behaviours—and retained state should influence which one wins without making the result ungoverned or difficult to inspect—we would be interested in discussing the boundary.
