ABOUT & SOFTWARE LICENSING
Collapse Aware AI (CAAI) is proprietary middleware developed by Inappropriate Media Limited for governed retained-state behavioural selection and persistent AI continuity.
Modern AI systems can already generate several sensible things to do next.
The harder problem is deciding which permitted behaviour should win when previous events ought to matter.
A system can retrieve the right history and still:
repeat an approach that previously failed
ignore a correction
act on superseded information
raise something at the wrong moment
allow old context to dominate the present task
behave as though previous decisions or commitments never happened
CAAI is built to govern that selection point.
The central principle is simple:
retained history may influence future behaviour, but it does not automatically control it.
CAAI is not another foundation model and not another memory database.
Storage determines what can be retrieved.
CAAI governs what retained information is allowed to change.
CORE GOLD — COMPLETE
The CAAI Core Gold Build is the completed and frozen commercial foundation of Collapse Aware AI.
It provides governed retained-state selection among supplied candidate behaviours.
Its accepted capabilities include:
retained-state behavioural scoring
persistent state and recall across restart
candidate re-ranking influenced by retained history
governed and reference operating conditions
bias-enabled and bias-disabled comparison
deterministic seed capture and replay
request validation
preserved request and thread identifiers
controlled degraded-mode reporting
verified application-to-API-to-adapter-to-Crown execution
inspectable supporting decision evidence
Core Gold demonstrates that retained information can exert bounded and observable influence over a later selection while remaining under explicit control.
The sealed Crown Runtime remains the proprietary selection centre.
It does not replace the customer's model, workflow, application or game engine.
EVOLUTION 2 — GOVERNED CONTINUITY
Collapse Aware AI has now progressed beyond the original Core Gold-only architecture into Evolution 2.
Evolution 2 extends the same retained-state selection principle into a broader continuity system.
Current engineering capability includes:
structured ContinuityFrame interpretation
semantic and entity-aware retained-state retrieval
temporal, recurrence and lifecycle signals
bounded retrieval
restart-safe continuity
correction and revocation boundaries
Open Loops for unresolved work
Interaction Fit
suppression memory
proactive continuity controls
Continuity Intensity
Agent Self-History
governed resurfacing
clean no-history candidate competition
P8a final behavioural selection
provider, model and configuration provenance
deterministic and replay-friendly evidence
Evolution 2 is now an active engineering system, not merely a Phase-2 design document.
It is not yet being represented as the final Production release.
Remaining work includes further behavioural development, tuning, long-horizon memory hygiene, performance validation, clean product packaging and final Production freeze.
HOW THE ARCHITECTURE WORKS
At a simplified level:
Present state → structured interpretation → relevant retained-state retrieval → Interaction Fit → suppression and governance → candidate behaviours → final permitted selection → durable evidence
A clean response that does not use historical influence remains available as a genuine competitor.
This means memory has to earn the right to affect the result.
CAAI therefore differs from a simple:
retrieve → inject → generate
memory architecture.
Its approach is closer to:
retain → retrieve → evaluate → govern → compete → select
AGENT SELF-HISTORY
Evolution 2 can retain structured facts about behaviour the agent itself actually selected and delivered.
This includes:
claims
commitments
decisions
refusals
preferences or stances
proposed actions or outcomes
This allows an agent to preserve continuity not only around the user, but also around what it previously said, promised or decided.
Rejected candidate behaviours cannot write themselves into history.
Only finally selected behaviour may become Self-History.
WHAT CAAI DOES NOT CLAIM
Collapse Aware AI is not:
a foundation model
a standalone chatbot
a vector database
ordinary RAG
AGI
consciousness or sentience
human psychology
emotion detection
lie detection
regulatory certification
a generic compliance platform
CAAI does not claim that every historical influence improves an outcome.
Automatic reinforcement from real-world outcomes is deliberately not enabled simply because something happened repeatedly.
Outcome recording, bounded learning and longer-term reinforcement must remain controlled and testable.
A Decision Record is evidence of what occurred in the selection path.
It is not a claim to expose hidden model reasoning.
WHERE CAAI FITS
CAAI is most relevant where:
several legitimate actions already exist
previous events should sometimes change which action wins
historical information must not dominate blindly
corrections and revoked information matter
continuity across sessions matters
the final choice needs to remain inspectable
reproducibility and governance have commercial value
AI AGENTS
Modern agents can already generate:
answers
tool calls
proposed actions
escalations
refusals
clarifications
CAAI can operate as a governed selection layer beneath that system.
Relevant prior interactions can influence the next choice while stale, revoked or wrong-scope history is prevented from controlling behaviour.
Potential applications include:
action versus clarification
automation versus human review
escalation decisions
refusal behaviour
recovery after previous failed attempts
continuity around commitments and earlier decisions
retained-state governance for persistent agents
CUSTOMER SUPPORT & CONTACT CENTRES
Support systems often possess extensive history but still make inconsistent final choices.
CAAI can govern selection between permitted behaviours such as:
standard handling
clarification
investigation
reassurance
escalation
specialist review
human handoff
The distinction is important:
having customer history is not the same as governing how that history should affect the next action.
GAMES, NPCs & SIMULATION
CAAI originated partly from the problem of making artificial characters behave as though previous events matter without removing authorial or system control.
A game or simulation can supply the permitted actions.
CAAI can allow retained information such as:
prior encounters
relationships
commitments
failures
grievances
corrections
important world events
to influence which permitted behaviour wins.
Evolution 2 is being kept host-neutral so the behavioural core can later integrate with:
Unity
Unreal Engine
Godot
proprietary game engines
training simulations
general agent runtimes
CAAI is not currently presented as a complete production game-AI brain or finished Unity/Unreal plugin.
Those integration layers sit outside the host-neutral core.
MEMORY & RAG GOVERNANCE
Retrieval systems can surface information that is:
stale
contradicted
superseded
associated with the wrong context
technically relevant but inappropriate to use
CAAI adds a behavioural influence layer above retained or retrieved information.
The important question becomes:
not simply “Can the system retrieve this?” but “Should this information be allowed to change the decision?”
AI EVALUATION, SAFETY & RESEARCH
CAAI can also provide a controlled environment for studying stateful AI behaviour.
Questions can include:
Does retained state change the selected behaviour?
What happens under a matched reference condition?
Does the effect survive restart?
Can the selection be reproduced?
Does a correction remove obsolete influence?
Is revoked or wrong-scope state blocked?
Does the system preserve the present task?
Does it remain silent when history should not intervene?
Can the resulting behaviour be represented through customer-safe evidence?
This may be relevant to applied AI teams, safety groups, simulation developers, agent infrastructure teams and research organisations.
EVALUATION & COMMERCIAL ACCESS
CORE GOLD MANAGED EVALUATION
The clearest commercial entry point into Core Gold is a bounded managed evaluation.
A customer provides:
one real or anonymised decision problem
a defined set of permitted candidate actions
relevant historical or retained-state information
Collapse Aware AI can then compare a reference condition with governed retained-state selection.
An evaluation can demonstrate:
baseline selection
governed selection
whether retained state changed the winner
persistence
deterministic replay
supporting Decision Records
customer-safe evidence
The customer does not need to receive the proprietary Crown source code.
SHADOW-MODE PILOTS
A shadow-mode pilot can place CAAI beside an existing decision process without granting it authority over the live production outcome.
The customer's existing system continues operating normally.
CAAI independently evaluates the same bounded decision point.
The resulting comparison can examine:
production selection
CAAI reference selection
CAAI governed selection
winner changes
retained-state influence
replay consistency
correction and revocation behaviour
failure handling
supporting evidence
This allows evidence to be gathered before CAAI is granted operational control.
EVOLUTION 2 PRIVATE EVALUATION
Once Evolution 2 reaches its Production evaluation gate, the intended first external route is a limited managed evaluation programme.
Selected organisations and evaluators will be able to use E2 through controlled hosted access.
The proprietary implementation remains server-side.
The planned approach supports:
private browser access
individual evaluator entitlement
isolated continuity state
fixed evaluation periods
revocable access
controlled model-provider usage
continuity across sessions
customer-safe feedback and evidence
External evaluators will not receive the proprietary Crown, Core Gold or Evolution 2 source tree.
The purpose is straightforward:
let prospective partners experience the behaviour rather than requiring them to understand the entire architecture from documentation alone.
DESIGN PARTNERSHIPS
A design partnership may suit an organisation that already has:
an AI model, agent, workflow, game or simulation
several legitimate candidate actions
relevant historical state
a genuine selection problem
a need for continuity, governance or reproducibility
a credible deployment path if testing succeeds
The partner supplies the domain problem and integration context.
Collapse Aware AI supplies the retained-state governance architecture, evaluation method and supporting technical evidence.
Buyer-specific engineering can then be developed against a real commercial requirement rather than building speculative integrations in advance.
LICENSING
Commercial structures may include:
annual middleware licences
per-deployment licences
internal-use licences
private managed access
customer-specific adapters
support and maintenance
design-partner agreements
sector-specific integrations
customer-hosted deployment work
restricted-field or exclusive licensing where commercially appropriate
broader strategic arrangements where there is a serious fit
Full proprietary source-code handover is not the default evaluation or licensing model.
Crown, internal source, credentials and unnecessary implementation detail remain protected unless a specific commercial agreement provides otherwise.
CURRENT COMMERCIAL POSITION
Core Gold is completed, frozen and commercially available now.
Evolution 2 is the active next-generation system and is being prepared toward controlled private evaluation once its remaining Production gates are completed.
Collapse Aware AI is currently open to:
paid technical evaluations
bounded managed evaluations
shadow-mode pilots
design partnerships
integration discussions
Core Gold licensing
strategic licensing discussions
serious broader commercial discussions around the technology
The immediate commercial objective is not another speculative platform build.
one real decision problem → one measurable evaluation → one demonstrated behavioural difference → one commercial reason to deploy the technology
If your system already produces several legitimate actions but struggles to govern how relevant prior events should influence which action wins, that is the problem Collapse Aware AI is designed to address.
SOFTWARE DELIVERY & CUSTOMER PACKAGING
Current CAAI engineering is suitable for Collapse Aware AI-operated evaluation.
Final customer deployment is intentionally shaped around actual buyer requirements.
Depending on the commercial use case, customer-specific work may include:
deployment packaging
installation and startup tooling
agent-framework adapters
game-engine adapters
environment hardening
operator documentation
customer-specific evidence surfaces
final acceptance testing
This avoids building expensive generic infrastructure before there is a real deployment requirement.
GET INVOLVED
If you have a bounded decision point where prior events should already be changing the outcome — and currently are not — get in touch.
A useful first conversation is not about replacing your model, rebuilding your stack or handing over your data.
It is about identifying one real decision where your existing system already has several permitted options, then testing whether governed retained-state selection changes the result in a useful, inspectable and repeatable way.
Collapse Aware AI is currently open to discussions around:
- Core Gold managed evaluations
- paid technical evaluations
- shadow-mode pilots
- design partnerships
- AI-agent and workflow integration
- simulation and training applications
- future NPC/game integration
- Core Gold licensing
- strategic and sector-specific licensing
- broader commercial arrangements where there is a serious fit
For Core Gold, an evaluation can begin with one real or anonymised decision problem, a defined set of permitted candidate actions and the relevant retained-state conditions.
For Evolution 2, selected organisations will later be able to evaluate the system through controlled private hosted access once the remaining Production gates are complete.
The proprietary Crown, Core Gold and Evolution 2 source code remains protected throughout normal evaluation and licensing discussions.
